Benefits of using hot runners for plastic molds
Date: 2019-12-05 Visited: 33
First, save plastic raw materials
Nozzles are produced during the injection of traditional molds. Plastic products with high requirements are not allowed to be used (recycled secondary materials), because the repeated use of nozzles will degrade the structure and properties of plastic components, and reuse will affect the product quality.
Second, shorten the molding cycle and improve production efficiency
Because there is no restriction on the cooling time of the main flow channel and the secondary flow channel, the product can be ejected in time after the molding is solidified. Many thin-walled products produced with hot runner molds can be molded in 8 seconds.
There are no cold runners in the hot runner mold, so no nozzles are generated. This is particularly significant for applications where plastic is expensive. In fact, the major hot runner manufacturers in the world have developed rapidly in the era when the world's oil and plastic raw materials were expensive. Because hot runner technology is an effective way to reduce material costs, material costs, and cost savings.
Third, reduce defective products and improve product quality
During the hot runner molding process, the temperature of the plastic melt is accurately controlled in the runner system. Plastic can flow into each cavity more uniformly, and the result is a plastic part of consistent quality. The gates of the plastic parts formed by the hot runner are of good quality, low residual stress after demolding, small deformation of the plastic parts, and the appearance of the injection molded products is greatly improved. Therefore, many high-quality products on the market are produced by hot runner molds. For example, many plastic parts in telephone cases, mobile phone cases, printer cases, computers, and automobiles are made of hot runner molds.
